On the first date I would prefer it to somewhere that is relaxing and fun. For example, the park, coffee, walk in the park or a light dinner or lunch. Nothing fancy. I believe the first meeting should be a relaxing as possible. Most people are very nervous and not sure what to expect, therefore, keeping the meeting light and fun helps break the ice. I always wanted to skydive and learn how to play the piano. I know these are two extremes but hopefully I will accomplish them one day.
