I wish I knew what it is you felt, about love when it comes to us,
I can only wish that what you feel, is potentially love, not lust.
I?ve wanted you from the very moment that I looked into your eyes,
Your smart, your funny, you make me laugh, and beyond your years you?re wise.
You?re just what I?ve been praying for, and I?ve felt this from the start,
And I want you to know just how I feel, and these feelings are from my heart.
When we?re together, my heart is glad, I feel everything is fine,
I touched your hand, looked in your eyes and it almost blew my mind.
I know this seems a little premature, but I?ve loved you for a while,

I don?t understand, what it is people mean when they use the word ?love?,

For me, love means that you understand who the inventor of love really is,
For me, love means that you try to emulate the love you know is His.
We?re human beings, so that just means we cannot always have perfection,
But to love another human being, is to compromise and show affection.
It?s about communication, understanding, being able to talk about things,
Spending the time that you both need, to make your relationship sing.
I want to be the one, that you need at the end of your day,
I want to be the one in your life that you know will never stray.
I want to show you all of the love, I know that you deserve.
I want the right to call you ?mine?, that means it?s you I serve.
