I call myself old-fashioned just because I don't fit in with trendy stuff, nor do I seek to. I'm comfortable in my skin and I don't have any apologies to make for who I am.

Although I hold strong opinions about many things, I don't expect people to agree with me in order to be friends with me...but I reserve my respect only for people who hold their opinions just as passionately as I hold mine. I cannot stand to be around people who have no backbone and just agree with whatever I say because my opinions are strong. The world is big enough for people to see things as they wish to.

On the other hand, I am always willing to take inventory of myself and my opinions and to re-examine my position when I am presented with another point of view. Afterall, how else do we grow?
