I am 25 years old and have been in New York for almost nine months. I like to read (both academically and for pleasure), hang out with friends at small gatherings, travel, and go hiking and camping.

I haven't been in a relationship for a little over three years and am, once again, interested in the possibility of finding someone special. If you were to ask my friends, I feel confident in saying that they would describe me as someone who is caring, respectful of the dignity of others, and compassionate towards others' personal views. Even though I am an alumnus of a college fraternity, I do not flip the bill of the "typical" fraternity guy. I like comedies and can't stand scary movies. In regards to music, I'm a huge jazz freak.

As stated in my ad title, I'm a person that leans toward the conservative side of things. Although I am conservative minded, I am someone that doesn't go off spouting hateful words against people I disagree with, neither publicly or privately, and believe that it is not my duty or right to judge others. As a Christian, I try to see Jesus in each and every person I meet.

If there's one thing that I am, it is a gentleman. Having been raised in the South, proper manners and conduct are two things that I was taught to have while growing up. These attributes are still very much a part of who I am today.

The big dream that I have had over the past few years has been to pursue ordination as a Christian minister, by which I am currently in graduate school taking courses toward this goal's fulfillment. Although I am currently in this process, you do not have to worry about me constantly proselytizing my faith and hammering my theological beliefs down your throat. I try to express my Christian faith in active, healthful and loving ways.

Even though I'm no Denzel Washington, I figure that I look fairly OK. The one thing that I can assure you of is that I am a good, decent, moral guy who would love to consider the possibility of a relationship with a young lady (should it work out that way).

I want to be absolutely clear in the fact that I am NOT looking for any one-night stands or any other type of simple, non-chalant flings. I am looking for a kind, warm-hearted, loving, and compassionate young woman (preferably within the ages of 21-25) with whom I can date and possibly start a relationship with. As I stated earlier, I am a gentleman and intend to stay one in regards to particular dating standards.
